Services

In general, we assist civil rights grassroots organizations with virtually any of their software-oriented technology needs. The points of focus most commonly addressed are in these basic categories:

  • Fundraising – The power of the Internet to build capacity for raising money has most recently been demonstrated by Howard Dean’s presidential campaign. It is from models like this that grassroots organizations can learn to harness this fundraising power. We will work with your organization to build tools to track donations and donors, integrate dynamic visuals on your website and in your emails to excite potential donors to meet fundraising goals, and accept donations online.

  • Volunteer Management – Organizing the available human resources is a challenge. Using the web combined with database technology, we can equip you to find the right people for the right task.

  • Grassroots Coordination – Mobilizing friends and allies to a rally, to take action on a legislative alert or to get out the vote on election day are all ways that email can be used to strengthen the combined force of a grassroots organization. The power of email and other digital distribution channels, such as RSS news feeds, can be augmented with alerts being sent to text messaging devices, fax machines or even automated telephone notifications.

  • Group Collaboration – Maneuvering through tough problems benefits greatly from the input of many differing thoughts. Technology is very useful for cultivating the critical mass of thought resources to achieve complex goals. Using integrated message board and e-list technology, we can help organizations band together even the busiest of their best minds.

  • Content Management Services – For small organizations, having technical skills on staff to maintain website content can be a challenge. We can help you fill in this critical gap by matching your needs with like-minded volunteers with the necessary technical skills.

We are knowledgeable in the technology needed to help an organization accomplish its goals while removing the need for full-time technology staff. While we can suggest uses of technology that can further an organization’s goals, we are flexible enough to adapt technology to other needs not traditionally met by technology.
